In issue 31 of Adventure Bike Rider magazine, Dan Greening from Australia writes about an epic journey on his 2005 BMW F650GS Dakar to Marsimik La, the world’s highest motorable road in North East India. Dan fitted the bike with ODYSSEY II panniers.
I opted for Jesse Luggage, which was one of the best purchases I made – extremely secure, rugged and completely waterproof.
Following a trip through Baja with RawHyde World of Adventure, Scott Brady reviews the 2015 Yamaha Super Ténéré ES fitted with Jesse Luggage ODYSSEY II panniers in the Summer 2016 edition of Overland Journal.
Jesse Luggage panniers, which are built from thick aluminum and mounted to a robust steel framework, are the “Rubicon-rated” adventure luggage solution.
Sam Manicom reviews the Jesse Luggage Traveler system after testing it during a seven-week tour of Arizona and California.
The two features that really stand out are the 1.7 gallon (7 liter) auxiliary fuel tank, which has increased the range of the bike quite significantly. The magical touring range between fill-ups is 300 miles plus! No problem with this addition to the system. The other item which has increased my flexibility is the top box. It’s set up to slide to the position on the back of the bike that best suits me and my gear, but the bonus is the solar panel. Whilst wild camping, for keeping my phone etc. charged, its been a great asset! The Odyssey IIs are the most thoughtfully engineered, and actually I think attractive, panniers I’ve ridden with!
I’ve become spoiled with how these bags look, the ease of how the lid latches work, how easy it is to get the bags on and off the bike, and how narrow they are. I love these bags and would say they’re near perfect for most ADV riders looking for a large capacity luggage system.
